Honeymoon packing tip #14 – Don’t forget to pack a good translator app

Remember when Brenda and Donna from 90210 accidentally ordered veal brains when they were traveling in Paris?  You definitely don’t want THAT to happen on your honeymoon.

No need to be fluent in multiple languages or schlep around a big dictionary – just load one of these apps on your phone or ipad and voila, you’ll be speaking like a native.

Google Translate – Available for iPhone, iPad, iPod or Android devices, this free app gives you access to more than 60 languages!  You can type in text and hit the translate button or you can also speak a phrase into your phone and play back the translation.

i Translate VOICE – This is another great option allowing you to speak and click away to hear yourself translated into 36 languages.  You can chose the speed and sex of the translator voice which is fun too.  Available for iPhone or iPad starting at 99 cents.
